Carbo Phenol Powder
This is a disinfectant powder containing 5% Carbolic Acid. The carbolic acid is a known disinfectant and germicide. The carbolic acid has a refreshing smell. This powder when applied on garbage dump, dead animal, fish market waste, slaughter house floor, squatting grounds, public urinals immediately reacts and kills the pathogenic bacteria and the bacteria responsible for rotting and emitting foul odour. This helps in stopping the bad odour which otherwise spoils the atmosphere. Previously most of the public health departments were usign BHC, DDT or Malathion powders to mask the bad odour coming from the above said places. This practice was wrong as pesticides had no effect on the bacteria and as such they use to grow and cause damage to the society. However government imposed ban on using these products in public health and now a proper product is available in the form of Carbo-Phenol Powder.

How to use Carbo-Phenol Powder:
The powder contains 5% carbolic acid. This powder can be dusted by hand or by suitable ladle or tin pot. The recommended dose is 500 gms. On 10 sq. ft surface area. During the epidemics of Cholera, Typhoid and Dysentery and during the pilgrimage it is advisable to increase the dose to 1000 gms. Per 10 sq. ft. area.

Where to use the Carbo-Phenol Powder:
This powder is advisable to use at all the places where organic garbage is collected for further disposal, Tthe powder can be used at refuse bins, on the dead animals, fish markets, vegetable markets, slaughter houses, public urinals, squatting grounds etc.
