V-Nash (Herbal
Mlo) In
India the mosquito in towns and urban areas is done by conducting
weekly anti larval operation. It is almost mandatory to use mosquito
larvicidal oil along with the other chemical larvicides. The MLO is a
component of light diesel oil which India has to import from outside.
The larvicidal action through MLO is mechanical. The mineral oil
spreads on the water surface and blocks the air contact with water,
which kills the larvae as they need air to breath. This action also
can be achieved by using any oil floating on the water surface
cutting the air contact by forming a film. This initiated us to do
some research in this aspect. We went from the mixtrue of various
plant oils. The V-Nash has many advantages over the mineral MLO. It
is non toxic, biodegradable, harmless to other animals. Being the
mixture of indigenous nonedible plant oils, saves the revenue of
mineral import, Herbal MLO also forms an impenetrable film on water
surface like mineral MLO and has added action of growth retardation
of larvae due to neem oil component and larvicidal action of pongamia
oil.
How to Use
V-Nash (Herbal MLO): The product is
compatible to mineral MLO. It is applied on the water surface in the
same manner like MLO. However the dose of Herbal MLO is half of
mineral MLO. The 0.5ml. Herbal MLO is enough to spread on the sq. cm.
Area of water surface The product can be applied by mop and buckets
method or by using suitable pump.
What are the ingredient in V-Nash
(Herbal MLO) The herbal MLO is a proportinate and
homogenous mixture of various non edible, non toxic, plant seed oils.
The chief ingredients are Neem oil, Karanja Oil, and Pine Oil with
other seed oils. The mixture of oils forms a thick film on the water
surface, which remains intact for more than four hours. The film
blocks the air contact at the same time also penetrates the body of
mosquito larvae who try breath by reaching water surface and kills
them by retarding their growth. Female mosquitoes avoid laying eggs
on the water surface spread with V-Nash. This offers extra advantage
over than mineral MLO.
